We held an interactive workshop on Chinese and comparative commercial dispute resolution (CDR) in practice in March 2019.

On 26 November 2016, the Centre for Common Law and the Great Britain China Centre held a specialist one-day legal conference on International Dispute Resolution on the Belt and Road.

The inaugural meeting of the Academic Advisory Council of the Centre for Common Law at Renmin University of China Law School was held on 25 November 2016, in Beijing.

On 22 November 2016, John Tanzer, a retired judge and current Director of an IT consultancy company, gave a lecture at the Centre for Common Law on the digitisation of court in the UK.

On 27-28 September 2016, Sir Philip Sales, Lord Justice of Appeal at the UK Court of Appeal, gave two lectures at the Centre for Common Law, the first on common law methodology and the second on the reception of international law.
