Transparency and Rule of Law Workshop
2015-11-23
At the 4th Plenum of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, top party officials announced strong their strong commitment to improving the rule of law in China and promised to increase the transparency and accountability of government, including the judiciary. Advancing the progress of rule of law-related reforms and improving legal transparency are central to both the work of the Centre for Common Law (CCL) at Renmin University of China, and partners the Great Britain China Centre (GBCC). Therefore the two organisations are holding a one day workshop in December 2015 to explore two areas central to the transparency of China’s legal system: legislation and judiciary.
